Worship at 1st

Worship at 1^st Church seeks to express the truth that we are a church of the ages, serving the present age. We are a multi-generation congregation where God’s children, of all ages, are welcome to worship together. 

Kingdom Express, our children’s church is available at the 11 AM service for young children, but it is the choice of the parents if the child attends Children’s Church or worships with them. 

When we gather as a community of faith for worship, we gather to express our love and gratitude to God for God’s love for us, a love most fully revealed to us in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 

Worship at 1^st is a celebration of God’s saving love. We stand within the stream of the church’s living tradition. We sing ancient hymns as well as contemporary songs of praise. The classical look of the sanctuary reflects our 150 years of worship and ministry in the Leavenworth community, even while we make use of up to date technologies in order to enhance our ability to communicate the good news of God’s love to the present age. 

Music Ministry Opportunities

Music Ministry at 1st involves those age 4 through adults. Our vocal choirs begin at age four and our choirchime/ handbell choirs begin with children in the fourth grade. Click on the above link for a full description of all our choirs.
